Rashid Meredov: ECO has potential to become leading integration organization in Eurasia

The Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) has sufficient potential to become the leading integration organization in Eurasia, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov, said at the 17th ECO Summit held in Khankendi, Report informs.

Meredov emphasized that ECO countries should pay special attention to cooperation in the field of modern technologies and proposed to form a single information space.

Meredov added that within the organization there are also broad opportunities for developing cooperation in the field of "green technologies".

He also emphasized that natural resources, demographic potential and trade relations of member countries create a solid foundation for the development of ECO.
