Number of new medium-sized businesses in Karabakh and East Zangazur up 7.3 times in 2024

In 2024, 29 new medium-sized business entities were created in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, which is 7.3 times more compared to 2023.

Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee, that, according to the information, at the end of last year, 2% or 4,150 out of 212,705 commercial organizations operating in the country were medium-sized business entities, which is 563 units or 15.7% more compared to the end of 2023.

At the beginning of 2025, 2,850 medium-sized businesses (+20.3%) or 68.7% of their total number were operating in Baku.

A total of 87 medium-sized businesses (+22.5%) were registered in the Karabakh economic region and 23 (+2.3 times) in the East Zangazur economic region.
