Minister: Private sector’s entering Karabakh - main issue facing Azerbaijan

The main issue facing Azerbaijan in the near future is related to the restoration of the liberated territories and the entry of the private sector into Karabakh, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov said in a video address to the participants of the conference themed "Heydar Aliyev and the development of entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan" organized by the Ministry, the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) under the Ministry, and the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations, Report informs.

“The master plans of a number of cities and districts have already been approved, work on the creation of basic infrastructure continues. Once again, I call on our entrepreneurs and investors to invest and build a business in Karabakh. The state provides and will provide the necessary support in this direction. Favorable conditions for entrepreneurs have been created in Araz Valley Economic Zone and Aghdam Industrial Park. Tax incentives are applied in the territories liberated from occupation. These measures will serve to attract investment to these territories, develop entrepreneurship and further strengthen the social security of the population,” the minister said.
