Mikhail Myatlikov: Azerbaijan becomes Belarus's seventh most important export partner

Azerbaijan had become Belarus's seventh most important export partner by the end of last year, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Mikhail Myatlikov said during the ongoing Azerbaijani-Belarusian business forum in Baku, according to Report.

"According to our data, bilateral trade turnover in 2024 increased by 46%: exports from Belarus grew by 44%, and imports into our country rose by 73%. Azerbaijan's share in the overall trade volume also grew by about a quarter.

Over the past year, Azerbaijan moved from 13th to 11th place in terms of trade volume and became the seventh most significant export partner for Belarus," he stated.

Myatlikov stressed a particularly notable increase in Belarusian exports of meat and dairy products, petroleum products, and timber: "This clearly demonstrates that businesses in both countries are actively exploring and developing new market niches."

The BCCI also announced that a large delegation of about 20 enterprises will visit Baku from May 13 to 16 to participate in the CaspianAgro and InterFood exhibitions, where they will showcase new products.

Myatlikov also invited the Azerbaijani delegation to attend the Belagro agro-industrial exhibition, scheduled for June 3–7 at the newly constructed International Exhibition Center.

"In addition, we would like to invite Azerbaijani industrial companies to take part in the International Industrial Exhibition Innoprom, which will be held in Minsk from September 29 to October 2, also at the new International Exhibition Center," he added.
