KOBIA: Two projects financed by grants are in non-oil sector

Two of the 39 projects financed under grants from the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) of Azerbaijan are related to the support of SMEs involved in the export of non-oil products, the Chairman of the Board of KOBIA Orkhan Mammadov said at an event dedicated to World Standards Day, Report informs.

According to him, it is about three grant competitions to finance SME projects in the fields of education, science and research. As part of the grants, funds have been allocated for 39 projects, two of which are related to supporting SMEs involved in the export of non-oil products, he said.

“KOBIA regularly supports entrepreneurs in participating in exhibitions and fairs in Azerbaijan, as well as in bringing their products to markets. Products and services of business entities must meet the required standards. At the same time, educating entrepreneurs and implementing other support measures in standardization are very important,” he noted.
