Iran increases export of washing machines to Azerbaijan by over 35 times

In the first two months of 2022, Azerbaijan purchased 22,960 washing machines (with a capacity of no more than 10 kg of dry laundry) worth $4.96 million, Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee.

Compared to the same period last year, imports increased by 3.4% in value terms and fell by 3.4% in quantitative terms.

During the reporting period, 12,440 washing machines for $3.37 million were imported from Russia, 3,635 units for $565,370 from China, 1,551 units for $359,190 from Turkiye, 798 units for $251,320 from Poland, 3,773 units of equipment for $126,930 from Iran.

Compared to the previous year, supplies from Russia increased by 5.3% and decreased by 1.3%, respectively. Supplies from China decreased by 34.1% and 19.6%, from Turkiye - by 6.6% and 26.5%, from Poland - increased by 2.7 and 2.6 times, from Iran - by 67 times and 36 times.
