Hungarian medical technology company discloses volume of exports to Azerbaijan

Diagon, a Hungarian medical technology company operating internationally, sold devices worth more than 100,000 euros to Azerbaijan last year, the company's representative Zoltan Edvi said in a statement to Report.

"Last year was particularly successful for us. Our partners achieved very good results in terms of sales. Sales volumes exceeded expectations, making us very happy. However, this year, for some reason, the process has stalled a bit, and sales are not at the previous level. We are currently in Azerbaijan to find out the reasons for these changes and find possible solutions. One of the main goals of our visit is to hold direct meetings with our local partners, analyze existing distribution channels, and investigate the reasons for the sales slowdown on the spot. We are confident that with the right approach and mutual cooperation, it is possible to restore and even increase sales. We are a company specializing in the supply of diagnostic equipment used for laboratory analyses outside the body (in vitro). We plan to develop further in this area in the future. In particular, we plan to increase our product range in two main areas related to blood: hematology (blood cell analysis) and hemostasis (blood clotting analysis)," Edvi said.

According to the company official, they are participating in the Second Turkic States Trade and Investment Cooperation Forum and Exhibition held in Baku: "The exhibition offers new opportunities for us. We want to establish new partnerships not only with Azerbaijan, but also with other Turkic states - Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and potentially Turkmenistan. Our goal is to achieve widespread distribution of our products and services in these regions. The conferences and events held within the framework of the exhibition are of particular importance to us. Our meetings have been planned in advance. With the support of the Hungarian government, we have scheduled official meetings with two of the largest pharmaceutical distribution companies in the country, as well as with TABIB, an organization that plays an important role in the healthcare field of Azerbaijan. During these meetings, we will both assess the current situation and take concrete steps regarding future cooperation directions. We hope that with this visit and exhibition, we will both strengthen our existing partnerships and expand our access to new markets."
