An event "New Opportunities for Entrepreneurs: Let's Revive Karabakh Together" is being held in Shusha with the organizational support of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economy.

According to Report, the purpose of the event is to present investment opportunities and business prospects of the Karabakh and East Zangazur economic regions to business entities, as well as to discuss the public-private partnership model.

The event will feature panel discussions on the benefits and preferences applied in the liberated territories, other state support measures, and the role of entrepreneurs in the restoration and economic reintegration of these territories. Entrepreneurs will be presented with investment projects proposed for implementation in these territories, export potential of products, logistical opportunities, and answers will be given to questions of interest to participants. G2B (government-business) meetings are also expected.

The opening of the event took place yesterday at the Aghdam Industrial Park.

Participants were informed that in terms of the number of residents, Aghdam Industrial Park is the second in the country after Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park.

Some 25 business entities have received resident status, and six more companies are registered as non-residents. Their total investment exceeds 216 million manats. These business entities plan to create more than 2,000 jobs in the industrial park. To date, residents have invested over 35 million manats and created around 300 permanent jobs.

Various producing enterprises will soon start operating in the Aghdam Industrial Park.

Residents of industrial parks in the liberated territories are exempt from profit, property, and land taxes for a 10-year period starting from the day of registration. In addition, low rental rates are applied in industrial parks, necessary infrastructure is created at the expense of state funds, and electricity, natural gas, drinking and technical water, and high-speed internet are provided.
