Entrepreneurs from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member countries will operate in the Alat Free Economic Zone (AFEZ) of Azerbaijan, Sheikh Faisal Bin Abdulla Al-Rawas, President of the Federation of GCC Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FGCCC), said in his statement to journalists, Report informs.
Al-Rawas noted that they have been to Alat and have seen the opportunities created there firsthand: "We received positive reactions from entrepreneurs in GCC countries, and investments will be made in the near future. Azerbaijan is a very important country as a strategic logistics center. Its location at the intersection of many international corridors makes cooperation even more important."
The GCC official pointed out that trade with Azerbaijan has more than doubled in the last two years, and the goal is to maintain this growth.
According to him, companies operating in the food security, logistics, and industrial sectors in GCC countries are interested in investing in Azerbaijan.
