China, S. Korea sharply increase export of trucks to Azerbaijan

During the first two months of this year, 668 trucks (with petrol and diesel engines) worth $14.352 million were imported to Azerbaijan from abroad.

According to Report’s calculations based on the data of the State Statistics Committee, this is 30.4% more in value terms and 12.7% less in quantitative terms than in the same period last year.

During the reporting period, 425 cars were imported from Germany for $4.571 million, 72 cars from China for $3.777 million, 26 cars from Turkiye for $2.190 million, 63 cars from Russia for $1.733 million, 46 cars from South Korea for $1.008 million.

Compared to a year earlier, deliveries from Germany decreased by 22.4% and 13.5%, respectively, from China - increased by 3.4 times and 4.1 times, from Turkey - decreased by 18.7% and increased by 3.3 times, from Russia - decreased by 41.1% and 41%, from South Korea - increased by 2.9 times and 3.8 times.

Last year Germany accounted for 74% of 5,551 trucks imported to Azerbaijan from abroad.
