Azerbaijan's joining the Free Trade Agreement with China will significantly boost bilateral trade and investment cooperation, Ma Qi, adviser on economic and commercial issues of the Chinese Embassy in Azerbaijan, said at the Trade and Export Forum (TEF-2022) in Baku, Report informs.
He said that, in addition, this year, China has organized training sessions on e-commerce, Free Trade Agreement, and other related fields for relevant institutions of member countries within the framework of CAREC (Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Program): "Relevant organizations from Azerbaijan also sent participants to the training."
Touching on China's cooperation with Azerbaijan within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the adviser noted that Azerbaijan currently acts as an observer in the SCO.
"Economic and trade cooperation platforms created by China for the SCO are also open to Azerbaijani companies. For example, China has established a Regional Economic and Trade Cooperation Exhibition Zone under the SCO in Qingdao, Shandong Province. The Expo center in the exhibition area can provide free exhibition stands for Azerbaijani companies and products. We actively support the economic and trade activities of all sectors of Azerbaijan within the framework of the SCO."
