Chairman: KOBIA's goal is to promote and develop women's entrepreneurship

The goal of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) under Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economy is to promote and develop women's entrepreneurship, KOBIA Chairman Orkhan Mammadov said at the SHE Congress held in Baku, Report informs.

"Today, participating in the forum on women's entrepreneurship means witnessing a major change not only in the economic sphere, but also in society. A woman entrepreneur is not just a person engaged in business. She is a person who contributes to the development of her family, society and country, but also a person who can take risks in her work, who is not afraid of innovation and change. This is very important. Because women are active in all areas of life. Moving forward, taking new steps requires risk, and we must turn women's skills, hard work and initiative into the main driving force of economic development. Therefore, the priority for KOBIA is the development of women's entrepreneurship. Let's not forget that a strong woman means a strong family, a strong society and a strong economy."

The chairman added that KOBIA has a wide range of activities and various support instruments for women entrepreneurs: "These instruments include both financial support and institutional support mechanisms. Therefore, by using them, every woman can comfortably engage in entrepreneurial activities."
