Boeing liquidates subsidiary in Belarus

Boeing’s subsidiary, Boeing BLR LLC, is being liquidated in Belarus, Report informs referring to Interfax.

The decision was made by the owners of Boeing BLR, the Netherlands-registered divisions of Boeing Europe and Boeing Netherlands.

Boeing BLR LLC has been operating since October 2020, responsible for communication with local regulators and consumers.

According to the service for checking counterparties Kartoteka.by, Boeing BLR LLC has been in the process of liquidation in the tax authorities of Belarus since March 1 of this year.

In January 2022, Boeing BLR LLC was included in the list of companies whose shares of foreign participants are blocked by the decision of the Belarusian government as part of counter-sanctions. Foreign investors are prohibited from selling their business or somehow withdrawing their assets.

Now the fleet of the state airline Belavia has 14 Boeing aircraft.
