The Azerbaijan Halal Business and Tourism Forum has kicked off in Baku, Report informs.
The event, which is held for the first time and will end tomorrow, is organized by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy, the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) under the ministry, and the State Tourism Agency.
The forum is supported by the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the International Islamic Business Association, the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD), the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC), and the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC). Officials, experts, representatives of academic circles and international organizations, and businessmen from nearly 20 countries are participating in the event.
The event aims to contribute to the establishment of new collaborations in the field of investment and trade, to exchange ideas and experiences in the relevant field, and to promote the attraction of foreign investments to Azerbaijan.
The forum consists of two parts: a conference and an exhibition.
