Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan to triple cotton cluster sowing area

Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have sown an area of ​​2,000 hectares in Azerbaijan as part of the cotton cluster project and plan to increase this figure to 6,000 hectares, Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) Yusif Abdullayev said at the panel session "Azerbaijan - Uzbekistan: Vector of Economic Partnership" within the IV Tashkent International Investment Forum, Report informs.

"This season we are already expecting the first harvest," he noted.

In addition, the executive director noted that cooperation between the two countries continues in the automotive industry. "Our joint venture has already produced 9,000 Chevrolet cars. This helps strengthen the brands 'Made in Azerbaijan' and 'Made in Uzbekistan,' he said.
