Azerbaijan to impose general rules on cargo transportation

The State Customs Committee (SCC) will ensure that cargo transportation is carried out based on general rules, Shahin Bagirov, the first Deputy Chairman and acting chairman of the State Customs Committee, said at the meeting of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) Committee for Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship, Report informs.

“In the near future, full transparency in cargo work will be achieved, and transparency in transportation will be increased. The cargo issue is very important to us,” he said.

Some time ago, the SSC reported that in recent times, among the cargoes brought to the country through various transport companies, there has been an increase in the detection of commercial goods and smuggling of goods declared under the pretext of personal use. In this regard, the Customs Committee once again appealed to the citizens to comply with the legislation to easily and quickly pass the customs control of the products they ordered from abroad and correctly indicate the information about the goods in the declaration.
