Azerbaijan to host Halal Business and Tourism Forum

As part of the 35th meeting of the Board of Directors of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (ICCIA) held in Baku, a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed on holding the Azerbaijan Halal Business and Tourism Forum, Report informs.

The document was signed by Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the State Tourism Agency Fuad Naghiyev, President of the International Islamic Business Association Marat Kabayev, ICCIA Secretary General Yousef Halavi and Executive Director of Caspian Event Organizers Bahruz Hidayatzade.

The Memorandum of Understanding regulates joint activities on issues related to the holding of the Azerbaijan Halal Business and Tourism Forum in 2024, interaction in the organization and measures to implement joint projects.

As part of the event, a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between KOBIA and ICCIA was also signed. The document was signed by KOBIA Board Chairman Orkhan Mammadov and ICCIA Secretary General Yusef Halavi.

The memorandum provides for the exchange of information and experience in order to promote cooperation in the field of trade and investment between the business circles of Azerbaijan and ICCIA member countries, in particular, the organization of various events to strengthen ties between representatives of small and medium-sized businesses and the implementation of joint programs and projects.
