Azerbaijan starts importing porcelain utensils from one country

In January-April 2023, Azerbaijan imported 373.44 tons of porcelain kitchen utensils for $2 million, Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.

According to the committee, compared to the same period last year, the imports decreased by 18% in terms of monetary value and by 15% in terms of volume.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased 229 tons (+65%) of utensils worth $746,000 (+18%) from China, 68.1 tons (-64%) for $438,000 (-35%) from Türkiye, 5.7 tons (-2%) for $270,000 (-15%) from Germany, 23.1 tons (+44%) for $108,000 (+32%) from Poland, and 3 tons (+5 times) for $104,000 (+4.2 times) from Portugal.

Azerbaijan imported porcelain kitchen utensils from Brazil (0.02 tons worth $3,380) for the first time in 12 years (official statistics on foreign trade in open access since 2011).
