Azerbaijan starts importing irrigation devices from Belgium, Saudi Arabia

In 2024, Azerbaijan imported 537,845 irrigation devices (for agriculture and horticulture), valued at $37.9 million, marking a year-on-year increase of 3.8 times in quantity and 47% in value, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.

In the specified period, Azerbaijan purchased irrigation devices from:

- Türkiye: 40,265 units (-65%) worth $29.4 million (+35%);

- The UAE: 58 units (+2.4 times) worth $4.1 million (+44%);

- Spain: 457,465 units (+228,000 times) worth $2.1 million (+45 times);

- The US: 3,165 units (+23 times) worth $563,000 (+29%);

- Saudi Arabia: 6 units worth $478,000.

In 2024, Azerbaijan supplied irrigation devices from Belgium (1 unit worth $53,240) and Saudi Arabia for the first time in 13 years, based on publicly available foreign trade statistics dating back to 2011.
