Azerbaijan starts importing cucumbers, gherkins from another country

In January-May of this year, Azerbaijan exported 915.3 tons of cucumbers and gherkins (fresh and chilled) worth $824,100, Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee.
This is 10% less in value and 1% less in quantity compared to the same period last year. Azerbaijan exported products to Russia, Saudi Arabia, Georgia, the UAE and other countries.
During the reporting period, 2,151.4 tons (-16%) of cucumbers worth $1.2 million (-16%) were imported to Azerbaijan from foreign countries. Azerbaijan imported 2,150.7 tons of cucumbers and gherkins from Iran worth $1.18 million (-16.1%), and from Turkmenistan (for the first time in the last 14 years) - 600 kg worth $700.
