Azerbaijan starts importing canned fish from Serbia

In January-October 2024, 4,860 tons of ready-made or canned fish worth $13.3 million, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

This is 15% higher in value and 18% higher in quantity compared to the same period last year.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported this product from:
- Russia: 2,754 tons (+78%) worth $6.45 million (+94%)
- China: 1,042 tons (-26%) worth $2.4 million (-34%)
- Türkiye: 220 tons (-5%) worth $1.8 million (+2%)
- Latvia: 364 tons (-9%) worth $1.2 million (-6%)
- Belarus: 202 tons (+25%) worth $652,000 (+25%)

This year, for the first time in the last 13 years (note: official statistics on foreign trade available for public use are until 2011), Azerbaijan imported canned fish from Serbia (0.03 tons worth $500).
