Azerbaijan starts exporting prunes to UAE and Qatar

In 2023, Azerbaijan imported 520.42 tons of prunes worth $1.3 million, Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee.
This is 23% more than the 2022 figure in value and 23% in quantitative terms.
Azerbaijan imported prunes from Moldova, Iran, Uzbekistan, Chile, Argentina and other countries.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported 1.83 tons of prunes (-90%) worth $8,000 (-76%).
Azerbaijan exported 1.63 tons of prunes (-91%) worth $6,600 (-80%) to Russia, 100 kg worth $740 to Qatar, and 100 kg to the UAE for $630.
Last year, exports were made to the UAE and Qatar for the first time in 13 years.
