Azerbaijan starts exporting bulgur

In the first half of 2022, Azerbaijan imported 1,205 tons of bulgur worth $865,150, respectively, up 10% and 9.4% from the previous year, Report informs, referring to the State Statistical Committee.
In the reporting period, the country imported 1,204 tons (+32.5%) of bulgur worth $865,770 (+82%) from Turkiye, 0.05 ton (-84.8%) worth $180 (-45.5%) from Germany, 0.12 tons (no imports last year) worth $150 from Ukraine, 0.01 ton (imported for the first time in 11 years (note: official statistics on foreign trade in open access since 2011) worth $50 from China.
During the reporting period, 1.8 tons of bulgur worth $2,120 were exported from Azerbaijan (only to Ukraine). This year, the country exported bulgur for the first time over the past 11 years.
