Azerbaijan starts deliveries of tank cars from 2 more countries

During the ten months of this year, 2,410 tank cars (tugboats and semi-trailers for the transport of goods) were delivered to Azerbaijan from abroad for $25.31 million.

According to Report’s calculations based on the data of the State Statistics Committee, this is 66% more in quantitative terms, 74% more in value compared to the same period last year.

During the reporting period, 1,911 tank cars were purchased from Germany (+84%) for $19.21 million (+89%), from Turkiye - 124 tank cars (-35%) for $2.04 million (-16%), from Poland - 173 tank cars (+84%) for $1.695 million (+82%), from France - 61 tank cars (+33%) for $582,900 (+45.4%), from Belgium - 16 tank cars (+4 times) for $406,320 (+12 times).

This year, for the first time in the last 11 years (official foreign trade statistics have been in the public domain since 2011), deliveries were made from Mexico and Singapore. From these countries, one tank car was imported for $13,000 and one tank car for $17,000, respectively.
