Azerbaijan sharply increases purchase of sesame seeds from main supply markets

In the first half of this year, Azerbaijan bought 184.6 tons (+11%) of sesame seeds worth $369,000 (+27%) from abroad, Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.

in the reporting period, 105.1 tons (+ 4 times) worth $222,000 (+5 times) were imported from India, 74.7 tons (-28.6 %) worth $135,000 from Uzbekistan (-24.2%), 3.9 tons (-35%) worth 7,000 dollars (-35,6%) from Iran, 0.9 tons (-21.8%) worth $5,000 (-10.3%) from Turkiye, and 0.03 tons (-84.2%) worth $240 (-71.4%) from Russia.
