Azerbaijan sees high growth in micro-entrepreneurship in Karabakh, East Zangazur

In 2024, 432 new micro-entrepreneurship entities were established in Azerbaijan's liberated territories, which is 78.5% more compared to 2023, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.

By the end of last year, 83.7%, or 178,061 of the 212,705 commercial organizations operating across the country were micro-entrepreneurship entities. This is 11,171 units, or 6.7% more compared to the end of the previous year.

As of the reporting period, 68.7%, or 122,269 of micro-entrepreneurship entities operated in Baku, representing a 7.5% increase year-on-year (YoY).

Additionally, there were 3,984 (7.3% more YoY) micro-entrepreneurship entities in Azerbaijan’s Karabakh economic region and 882 (22.3% more YoY) in the East Zangazur economic region.
