Azerbaijan’s kiwi fruit imports from Italy soar

In January-April of 2025, Azerbaijan imported 2,198 tons of kiwi fruit, valued at $1.6 million, marking a year-on-year decrease of 16% and 14%, respectively, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.
During this period, Azerbaijan purchased kiwi fruit from:
- Iran: 2,126 tons (-18%) worth $1.5 million (-19%);
- China: 70.14 tons worth $70,900 (no supply a year ago);
- Italy: 1.4 tons (+93%) worth $11,150 (+93%);
- Chile: 0.01 tons worth $60 (no supply a year ago).
In 2024, Azerbaijan imported a total of 3,800 tons of kiwi fruit, of which 98.2% came from Iran.
