Azerbaijan's kerosene imports from South Korea soar

In January 2025, Azerbaijan imported 24.9 tons of kerosene fuel (excluding jet fuel) worth $62,000, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
This is 81% more in value and 3 times more in quantity than in the same period last year.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased 23.2 tons (+19 times) of kerosene worth $46,000 (+4 times) from South Korea, 0.35 tons (+6 times) worth $9,200 (+28 times) from Germany, 0.7 tons (there were no supplies a year ago) worth $2,200 from the United Arab Emirates, 0.2 tons (-91%) worth $1,400 (-80%) from China, and 0.1 tons (there were no supplies a year ago) worth $1,350 from Japan.
Turkmenistan accounted for 69.4% of the 21,871 tons of kerosene imported to Azerbaijan in 2024.
