Azerbaijan’s curry powder imports from Iran soar

In January-March of 2025, Azerbaijan imported 23.86 tons of curry powder worth $60,350, marking a 3-fold increase in volume and a 25% surge in value year-on-year, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased curry powder from:
- Iran: 21.45 tons (+5 times) worth $33,920 (+4 times);
- Italy: 0.16 tons worth $9,960 (no supply a year ago);
- Germany: 1 ton (-4%) worth $5,950 (-24%);
- Türkiye: 0.84 tons (+8%) worth $5,860 (+30%),
- Vietnam: 0.4 tons (unchanged) worth $4,600 (+22%).
In 2024, Iran accounted for 60% of the 53 tons of curry powder imported to Azerbaijan.
