Azerbaijan resumes supply of tobacco from 3 countries

In 2023, Azerbaijan imported 4,995 tons of tobacco worth $87.8 million, up 14% and 22%, respectively, from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 3,364 (+2 times) tons of tobacco from Türkiye for $71.7 million (+2.2 times), 832 tons (-26%) from Ukraine for $11.5 million (-30%), 333 tons (-15%) from Jordan for $2 million (-2.4%), 88 tons from Germany for $1 million, and 39.1 tons (-95%) from Uzbekistan for $820,000 million (-95%).
Azerbaijan resumed the supply of tobacco from Belgium (0.68 tons worth $14,000) after 2 years and one month, from the US (0.62 tons worth $36,000) after 1 year and 6 months, and from Germany after 1 year and 4 months.
