Azerbaijan resumes import of furniture from South Africa

During January-November 2023, Azerbaijan imported 246,441 pieces of furniture (kitchens, wooden beds, etc.) worth $40.4 million, Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee.

This is 5.2% more than in the same period in 2022 in value terms, and 8% more in quantitative terms.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 165,959 units of furniture worth $27.3 million (2.8% more than a year earlier) from Türkiye (-0.1%), 5,658 units (+39%) worth $5.3 million (+15%) from Italy, 13,430 units (+2 times) worth $2 million (+35%) from Belarus, 23,468 units (+6.8%) worth $1.4 million (-10.3%) from China, 21,145 units (+22%) worth $1.4 million (-7%) from Russia.

Furniture supplies from South Africa resumed (140 units worth $4,800) after a seven-year break.
