Azerbaijan resumes import of chocolate from 4 countries

In January–October 2023, Azerbaijan imported 23,873 tons (13% more year-on-year) of chocolate for $85.4 million (20.3% more YoY), Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 13,000 tons of chocolate (-2%) from Russia for $36.3 million (-8%), 2,490 tons (+4.6%) from Türkiye for $12.55 million (+21%), 2,697 tons (+54.4%) from Ukraine for $8.5 million (+66%), 1,000 tons (+3 times) from Poland for $6.81 million (+3.2 times), and 864 tons (+2 times) from the Netherlands for $4.45 million (+2.4 times).
Azerbaijan resumed supply from Saudi Arabia (0.07 tons worth $900) after 6 years and 8 months, from Croatia (0.07 tons worth $2,140) after 4 years and 10 months, from Thailand (0.02 tons worth $400) after 4 years and 8 months, and from Vietnam (0.01 tons worth $120) after 4 years and 3 months.
In 2022, Azerbaijan imported 27,518 tons of chocolate (from 44 countries), of which 61% came from Russia, 12% from Türkiye, and 8.4% from Ukraine.
