Azerbaijan resumes buying chocolate from Vietnam and Thailand

In January–September 2023, Azerbaijan imported 20,776 tons (+10% more year-on-year) of chocolate for $74.3 million (18.2% more YoY), Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 11,374 tons of chocolate (-5%) from Russia for $31.7 million (-10%), 2,192 tons (+4%) from Türkiye for $10.9 million (+18%), 2,276 tons (-55%) from Ukraine for $7 million (-49%), 1,000 tons (+4 times) from Poland for $6.5 million (+4 times), and 779 tons (+2 times) from the Netherlands for $4 million (+2.4 times).
Azerbaijan resumed supply from Thailand (0.02 tons worth $350) after 4 years and 8 months and from Vietnam (0.01 tons worth $100) after 4 years and 3 months.
In 2022, Azerbaijan imported 27,518 tons of chocolate (from 44 countries), of which 61% came from Russia, 12% from Türkiye, and 8.4% from Ukraine.
