Azerbaijan resumes deliveries of car tires from South Asian country

In January 2023, Azerbaijan imported 154,430 units (8.3% more year-on-year) of new rubber tires (for cars, trucks, buses) for $8.1 million (24.3% more YoY), Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistics Committee.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 79,235 (+16%) tires from China for $4.44 million (+35%), 33,591 units (-15%) from Türkiye for $1.6 million ( +7.7%), 8,808 units (+3 times) from Korea for $383,000 (+3.3 times), 16,453 units (+3.5%) from Belarus for $382,000 (-7.6%), 6,738 units (-20.7%) from Russia for $345,000 (-19.6%).

After a break of a year and nine months, Azerbaijan resumed rubber tire imports from Sri Lanka (2 units for $1,500).

Azerbaijan imported 1.714 million units of rubber tires from 34 countries in 2022, and 61.1% of them came from China.
