Azerbaijan resumes cigarette exports to 3 countries

In 2024, Azerbaijan exported 2.1 billion cigarettes worth $33.6 million, Report informs, citing the country's State Statistical Committee.

This is 2.4 times more in value and 89% more in quantity compared to 2023.

Last year, Azerbaijan sold 1.8 billion cigarettes (+3.6 times) to Georgia for $30.7 million (+4 times), 96.4 million cigarettes (-81%) to Russia for $913,000 (-84%), 83.5 million cigarettes to Kyrgyzstan for $824,000, 72.8 million cigarettes (+1.3%) to Oman for $466,000 (+1.5%), and 43.65 million cigarettes (+4.4 times) to Iraq for $346,000 (+3 times).

Last year, Azerbaijan resumed cigarette supplies to Kazakhstan after three years and three months (8 million units worth $44,000), to the United Arab Emirates after two years and three months (10 million units worth $85,000), and to Kyrgyzstan after a year and three months.
