Azerbaijan resumes car tire imports from Malaysia

In January-November 2024, Azerbaijan imported 1.73 million rubber tires (new, for passenger cars, trucks, and buses), valued at $85.52 million, down 6% and 7%, respectively, year-on-year,

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased car tires:

- From China - 1.172 million units (-8%) worth $57.4 million (-8%);

- From Türkiye - 185,178 units (-2%) worth $9.4 million (-16%);

- From Russia - 132,429 units (+6%) worth $4.4 million (+5%);

- From Thailand - 64,159 units (+3.5 times) worth $3.33 million (+3 times);

- From South Korea - 70,701 units (-38%) worth $3.8 million (-18%).

Azerbaijan has resumed car tire imports from Malaysia (80 units worth $3,140) after a 2.5-year break.

In 2023, China accounted for 69.2% of the 1.98 million car tires imported to Azerbaijan from 38 countries.
