Azerbaijan reduces wheat import expenses by 8%

In 2024, Azerbaijan imported 1.29 million tons of wheat worth $279.68 million, according to the country's State Customs Committee, Report informs.
Compared to 2023, this is 116,685 tons (9.9%) more in volume, but 24.3 million (7.9%) less in value.
During the reporting period, wheat import expenses accounted for 1.3% of Azerbaijan's total spending on imports.
During the reporting year, Azerbaijan conducted trade operations worth $47.61 billion with other countries. Of the foreign trade turnover, $26.55 billion accounted for exports and $21.05 billion for imports.
