Azerbaijan reduces rice imports by nearly 22%

In the first half of 2025, Azerbaijan imported 30,692 tons of rice worth $29.04 million, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.

Compared to the same period last year, rice imports decreased by 8.52 tons (21.7%) in volume and by $12.04 million (29.3%) in value.

During the reporting period, spending on rice imports accounted for 0.25% of Azerbaijan’s total import expenses.
