Azerbaijan launching online ticket sales portal for bus routes

Azerbaijan is launching a biletim.az portal, which will provide online ticket sales for intercity and interregional regular bus services, Report informs.

This portal was developed within the framework of the work carried out toward the electronification of the services provided by the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA), which operates under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, as well as ensuring digital transformation in this field.

The portal has many advantages in terms of saving time, ensuring customer satisfaction, and increasing the circulation of non-cash payments in the country. The online ticketing system will gradually cover all carriers and bus stations in this field.

Biletim mobile application of the system is also available. The application for mobile devices can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play.

Tickets will go on sale ten days before that departure.

Passengers must visit the biletim.az website and register to buy a ticket. The QR-code-based ticket must be presented to the driver or platform controller for pre-travel approval in paper or electronic format.

From December 15, citizens can purchase online tickets through the biletim.az portal.
