Azerbaijan earns almost $2.5M from perfume exports

In the first nine months of 2022, Azerbaijan imported 890.35 tons of perfume and toilet water for $16.677 million, Report informs via the country’s State Statistics Committee.

According to the committee, these figures are 7.2% and 3.4% less year-on-year, respectively.

In the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 69.38 tons (+5.1%) of perfume and toilet water from France for $6.241 million (10% less year-on-year), 149.37 tons (-23.2%) from Russia for $1.784 million (+8.3%), 26.39 tons (+2.2 %) from Spain for $1.507 million (+27 %), 23.02 tons (-9 %) from Italy for $1.363 million (-26 %), and 72.63 tons (-46%) from Poland for $1.157 million (-47.7%).

At the same time, Azerbaijan exported 26.19 tons (+78.3%) of perfume and toilet water for $2.454 million (+4.5 times).

Azerbaijan exported 16.17 tons (+3.1 times) of perfume to the United Arab Emirates for $1.699 million (+4 times), 4.19 tons to the United States of America (there was no supply a year ago) for $646,510, 1.33 tons to Kyrgyzstan for $51,030 (exports restored after two years and eight months), 2.62 tons (+66 times) to Kuwait for $35,060 (+32 times).

This year, for the first time in the last 11 years (publicly available official statistics on foreign trade are as of 2011), supplies were made to Latvia: 0.28 tons of perfume for $720.
