Azerbaijan boosts passenger car production

In January-February 2024, Azerbaijan produced 574 passenger cars, which is 118 cars, or 25.9 percent more than in the same period last year, Report informs citing the State Statistical Committee.

As of March 1, the country had 232 ready-made products in stock.

In total, the country produced machinery and equipment worth 106.2 million manats ($62.47 million), other vehicles, cars, trailers, and semi-trailers in the first two months of this year. Compared to the previous indicator, the production of machinery and equipment rose by 15.2 percent, the production of cars, trailers, and semi-trailers increased by 30.7 percent, and the production of other vehicles decreased by 50.4 percent.

Over the course of two months, Azerbaijan produced 112 tractors, a decline of 31.7 percent compared to January-February 2023. As a result, the country had a stock of 10 finished products as of March 1.

At the same time, the country produced 149 trucks for the reporting period, which is 33 percent more than the indicator for 2023. As a result, the country had a stock of 64 ready-made products as of March 1.
