Azerbaijan begins importing excavators from Kazakhstan

In January-October 2024, Azerbaijan imported 675 excavators, valued at $58.7 million, up 21% in volume and 3.3% in value year-on-year, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased excavators from:

- China: 417 units (+24%) worth $33.1 million (+3%);

- South Korea: 132 units (+2.1 times) worth $12.3 million (+92%);

- Türkiye: 35 units (-15%) worth $4.35 million (-21%);

- India: 40 units (-23%) worth $3.2 million (-28%);

- UK: 12 units (-61%) worth $743,000 (-74%).

In 2024, Azerbaijan imported an excavator worth $26,000 from Kazakhstan for the first time in 13 years, based on publicly available foreign trade statistics dating back to 2011.

Meanwhile, in 2023, Azerbaijan imported 718 excavators from 18 countries, of which 65% came from China.
