Azerbaijan begins exporting pasta to 5 countries

In 2024, Azerbaijan exported 8,443 tons of pasta products (excluding couscous) worth $5.1 million, marking a year-on-year increase of 52% in volume and 80% in value, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan sold pasta products to:

- Israel: 3,572 tons worth $2.41 million;

- Georgia: 2,782 tons (+16%) worth $1.66 million (+13%);

- Iraq: 1,591 tons (-38%) worth $685,000(-41%);

- Saudi Arabia: 247 tons (+2.4 times) worth 166,200 (+2 times);

- Canada: 63.2 tons (+62%) worth $46,200 (+59%).

In 2024, for the first time in 13 years (with official foreign trade statistics accessible since 2011), Azerbaijan exported pasta products to the Central African Republic (32.31 tons worth $21,700), Libya (44.8 tons worth $32,700), Syria (6.72 tons worth $9,900), Japan (19.54 tons worth $15,500), and Israel.

Meanwhile, in 2023, Azerbaijan exported 5,557 tons of pasta to 11 countries, of which 46.1% fell to Iraq and 43.3% to Georgia.
