Azerbaijan and China conclude WTO membership talks

Azerbaijan and China will sign a protocol in the framework of their World Trade Organization (WTO) membership.

According to Report, Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economy stated that negotiations on goods and services were concluded during the visit of Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Economy, Samad Bashirli, to China, following his meeting with Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce, Yan Dong.

"The negotiations between Azerbaijan and China on goods and services within the framework of WTO accession have been successfully completed. The meeting participants stressed that Azerbaijan-China relations are based on the principles of friendship and trust, offering great opportunities for further expansion of trade ties," the ministry said in its statement.

During the visit, the deputy minister also met with the leadership of TBEA, a Chinese company specializing in power transmission and renewable energy sources. Information was presented about Azerbaijan’s business environment and incentives for investors, and perspectives for future cooperation were exchanged.
