Azerbaijan adopts new state standard on combating corruption

The Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization (AZSTAND) has adopted a new state standard, AZS ISO 37001:2025 "Anti-Bribery Management Systems. Requirements and Guidelines for Application."
According to Report, citing the Institute, the decision was made following a periodic review of the state standard AZS ISO 37001:2021 "Anti-Bribery Management Systems. Requirements and Guidelines for Application."
The new standard is based on the international standard ISO 37001:2025 and provides a unified methodology for identifying, assessing, and managing corruption risks. It creates conditions to ensure transparency and promote ethical behavior. The standard was adopted by consensus within the Technical Committee on Standardization “Conformity Assessment” (AZSTAND/TK 08) and included in the State Fund of Regulatory Documents on Standardization.
It is noted that the adoption of AZS ISO 37001:2025 is aimed at fulfilling the relevant requirements of the National Action Plan on Strengthening the Fight Against Corruption for 2022–2026
