Another train to depart from Azerbaijan’s Astara within Agroexpress project

On February 21, another train will depart from Azerbaijan’s Astara within the Azerbaijani-Russian project “Agroexpress,” Acting Head of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) Yusif Abdullayev said during the Azerbaijan & Udmurtia business forum in Baku, Report informs.
He said that the Agroexpress project will contribute to the growth of trade between Azerbaijan and Russia.
Abdullayev also noted the importance of developing the country’s non-oil exports.
The first freight train with fruits and vegetables from Azerbaijan to Russia was launched in February 2022, as part of the Agroexpress project for the delivery of goods using speed trains.
