On September 10, the Nine Senses Art Center will host the exhibition Circle of Life by artist-cosmographer and astropsychologist Farhad Sadikhov, Report informs.
It will be the first event and the foundation stone in anticipation of the major international festival Nine Senses Fest, which will be held in Baku on October 6-8. The art center will turn into a meeting place, exchange of experience and holding bodily and spiritual practices of international and Azerbaijani experts.
“Crystallized forms of the Sun in mandalas as part of the Circle of Life exhibition will make you feel the harmony of space and the strength of our intention to show energetically powerful, bright projects,” the academic director of Nine Senses and curator of the exhibition Natalia Zhukova said.
According to her, in many religious traditions of Hinduism and Buddhism, mandalas are used as symbols of spiritual growth and the path to enlightenment. They can serve as meditation focuses, helping to develop consciousness and inner peace.
"In Azerbaijan, a similar practice is called shebeke - ornamental temple stained-glass windows. The architects who created them started work only after performing special ceremonies and reading prayers," she said.
The exhibition is built on the combination in one exposition of the archetypal symbol of the circle, symbolizing the eternity and infinity of the cosmos, and the solar symbol of the Sun. Each piece is accompanied by its own scent, supported by the scale and radiates its own vibrational wave. This exposition, like the symbol of the circle itself, can be considered a healing practice.
