Kazakhstan has secured a record share in Azerbaijan’s wheat imports — 88%, Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Alim Bayel, said during a meeting with representatives of the agricultural sector.
Report informs via Kazakh media that, according to him, in the first five months of 2024, Kazakhstan exported 450,000 tons of grain to Azerbaijan — an 86% increase compared to the same period last year. The value of these exports amounted to $95 million.
The ambassador noted that this result was made possible thanks to coordinated efforts between the relevant agencies of both countries.
Bayel also highlighted that in the first four months of 2025, trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan increased by 20%.
B2B meetings were also held between business representatives from Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.
Overall, Kazakhstan exports grain, aluminum, metal products, and products from the chemical and oil industries to Azerbaijan, while importing machinery, ethylene polymers, and food products.
