EU envoy: Azerbaijan can demonstrate its agritourism to world

Agriculture is of great importance for the diversification of the economy in Azerbaijan, so the EU is trying to attract more people and resources for the development of this area, EU Ambassador to Azerbaijan Peter Michalko said at the opening of the Agritourism Investment Forum organized within the EU-funded Agri-vision project, Report informs.

Agritourism is what Azerbaijan can demonstrate to the whole world, and the demand for agritourism is growing every year, the EU ambassador said.

He added that the EU is ready to share experience in the relevant field with Azerbaijan. Michalko has already visited a number of Azerbaijani districts and saw the beauty and hospitality of people in the regions, as well as the development of small and medium-sized businesses.
