Danish fund wants to expand agrarian cooperation with Azerbaijan

The Danish Export and Investment Fund is interested in expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan in the agricultural sector, Report informs with reference to the Agriculture Ministry of Azerbaijan.

According to the ministry, Deputy Minister Sarvan Jafarov held a meeting with the delegation led by the Fund's Financial Director Kaare Stamer Andreasen. He provided detailed information about the reforms carried out in the agricultural sector in Azerbaijan, the main directions of the agrarian development strategy, and the innovative projects implemented, emphasized that Azerbaijan enthusiastically joins the initiatives arising from global challenges, attaches importance to effective cooperation with international partners, and is interested in cooperation with the Danish Export and Investment Fund.

Recalling that the liberated territories have been declared Green Energy Zones and that large-scale restoration and reconstruction works are being carried out in these territories based on the Smart City and Smart Village concepts, Sarvan Jafarov stated that Azerbaijan is ready to cooperate with international partners in the application of advanced technologies and exchange of experience in this process.

Kaare Stamer Andreasen provided information about the activities of the organization he represents and spoke about the work it has done in various countries, including the projects it has financed in agriculture. He noted that the fund is interested in expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan in many areas, including in the agricultural sector.

The meeting discussed in detail the prospects for future cooperation in the agricultural sector with the Danish Export and Investment Fund. The parties exchanged views on cooperation in the agricultural sector, digitalization in the agricultural sector, the application of innovative technologies and solutions, ensuring sustainable development of the agricultural sector, and the transfer of the most modern technologies in this field.
